9:00 Welcome and summary of the past meetings (Uszkoreit)
9:30-10:30 Annotation Set/Standard for CLIM (Chairs: Laurent Romary, Paul Buitelaar)
In this section of the Workshop, representative of various projects will present a strategy for the integration of annotation types and layers, on the base of the MuchMore format and ISO Guidelines. This might result in a first vesion of a "CLASSiks" format of annotations for Information Management. Projects involved: MEMPHIS, MUMIS, Whiteboard (German Project) and MuchMore (those project dealing with textual, chunk/deep linguistic, and semantic annotations). Collaboration with ISO (TC37/SC4) and more recently ISLE/IMDI (on Metadata). The integration of structured hyperlinks as annotations (Text enrichment) refering to complex information structures will be discussed here as well.
10:45-11:15 Annotation Set/Standard for CLIM (Discussion)
11:15-12:15 Text enrichment through automatic Hyperlinking (Chair: George Demetriou)
Presentation of the hyperlinking strategies in MUMIS and 2 non-EU projects, PASTA (EPSRC) and TRESTLE (Glaxo) projects (conducted in SHeffield), as well as in the SATOURN Project (funded by the Saarland and co-organizing this Workshop), which is concerned with the Hyperlinking of the overnemental Webpages of the Saarland. The main topic will be: Information Extraction and Automatic Hyperlinking.
13:30-14:00 Text enrichment through automatic Hyperlinking (Discussion)
14:00-15:30 A reference platform for CLIM (Chair Uszkoreit)
Presentation of the Project CLARITY and CROSSMARC. Discussion on the relationship to the annotation exercise, since we assume that a working platform should be able to generate the whole set of annotations we consider as being relevant for the CLIM scenario.
15:45-17:15 Evaluation Strategies for CLIM (Chair Carol Peters)
Presentation of evaluation strategies of two projects (CLARITY and MuchMore), as well as the perspectives of the CLEF project for 2003, this being the main talk: Cross Language Evaluation Forum: Looking Ahead to CLEF 2003.
17:15-18:00 Final Discussion and Closing
