| WORKSHOP INVITATION MADRID | |||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The local arrangements for this meeting have been kindly made by Antonio Sánchez Valderrábanos and José Esteban (SEMA Group, Madrid), the technical and project managers of the IST Project LIQUID. If you cannot attend personally or if you think that your project should be represented by more than one delegate please forward this invitation to the appropriate project members. It would be good if you or someone else from your project could give a ten minute presentation of the project and participate in the discussion of future collaboration. CLASSiks is part of the initiatiave CLASS, funded under the IST Programme. Within CLASS, we received the mandate and financial means to promote and support collaboration among HLT projects in crosslingual knowledge management. The CLASS initiative will be able to pay for the workshop venue and snacks and refreshments during the meeting. Individual projects are asked to pay their own travel and hotel expenses. Funds for concertation activities were foreseen as part of all EU IST/HLT projects. There are three areas of collaboration that we want to explore an that will be addressed in the Madrid meeting:
There is also a concrete proposal by Gregor Thurmair of SAIL Labs , Munich, for a working group on a common format for semantic representation in I&KM applications that sounds exciting, useful and feasible, which we would like to discuss at the meeting. I would be happy to see you in Madrid. The workshop venue will be at the Hotel Lagasca NH: Lagasca, 64; Madrid 28001; Tlf: +34 915754606. We have made special hotel arrangements there and pre-booked rooms for the participants at the following rates: 100 Euros for Friday and Saturday; and 180 for Thursday. Please let us know if you wish to participate by email at your earliest convenience and confirm your booking directly with Rubén or Belén at the hotel by the end of March at the latest.
